Don't forget...Dillon, Merrill, and RFMS students start back to school tomorrow, Wednesday, August 12th. Riverdale students will start back on Monday, August 17th. We are all excited to begin another year and see students in our halls and classrooms!
Rock Falls ESD 13 attended National Night Out which was sponsored by the Rock Falls Police Department. School swag and building information were distributed to the community. It was great to see so many past, current and future students while hyping everyone up for the start of school!
District 13 Families: Online registration for the 2026-2027 school year will be closing July 31st. All registrations after that date will have to occur in your child's building. All new families to the District will need to register at their child's building. If fees need to be paid, the deadline for not incurring a late fee is September 30th. If you have any questions, please contact your child's office.

Are you missing a coat, sweatshirt, hat, or other item? It might be in the Merrill Lost and Found. Throughout this week, we have asked students to check for missing items. Tomorrow, we will pack up the items and donate them. Please encourage your student to check for missing clothing.

With the forecasted winter weather approaching, we want to ensure everyone stays safe and informed. We are currently monitoring the conditions for Sunday night into Monday.
While school is currently scheduled to open as normal, there is a possibility of a closure. A final decision will be made based on road safety and facility conditions. If school is canceled, information will be sent via phone, email, text, Facebook, and Channel 6 KWQC as early as possible.

Due to the extreme cold weather warning, Rock Falls Elementary District 13 (Riverdale, Dillon, Merrill, Thome, and Rock Falls Middle School) will have an E-Learning Day on Friday, January 23rd. Rock Falls ESD 13 will be partnering with the Whiteside United Way to provide meals for our families who are eligible for free and reduced fees beginning Friday, November 14th. Information on how to register is provided below as well as the QR code. Registration must occur by Monday, November 10th.
Information on pick-up dates, time and location will be provided at a later date by District 13. Qualified families who are registered in the program will need to pick up the meals. District 13 is unable to deliver or send home with a student. Once again, this opportunity is for families who qualify for free and reduced fees only.
